This market will resolve “Yes” if any player scores 14 or more goals across the entire 2026 FIFA World Cup, including extra time. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”.
Penalty shootout goals do not count toward a player's total.
If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined whether the record was broken within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “No”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

This market will close and expire after a winner is declared. Otherwise, it closes by Jul 20, 2026, 3:59 AM.

Only Messi has a chance to achieve this, either in the third-place match or by scoring a hat-trick in the next two games. Maybe Haaland does too, if Norway beat England and reach the third-place match – Haaland could score three or four goals there against in this match (usually without defense). Mbappé has no real chance anymore; both Algeria and Spain are very defensive teams.

It's actually him who has or who is the sole reason this market is priced at 5.8¢, otherwise I highly doubt Messi can do this, let alone Haaland, who did his best but is getting eliminated by England soon.

Just fontaine scored 3 goals in the match for third place. If Messi scores at least 3 goals against Egypt and then Colombia or Switzerland, and scores 1 in the semi-final and they play for third place, where traditionally a lot of goals are scored because defenses are no longer important, then it is not unrealistic to beat it. It would be a record that no one will ever take away from Messi and it would make him definitely immortal and forever recorded in the World Cup records, because the number of matches will hardly be added in future and defenses will be even better.
