  • DontTrustMeSep 13

On paper, still 9 races to go representing 37.4% of the total amount of available points to be distributed but yeah... it's not looking good for anyone not named Kimi Antonelli. Incredibly frustrating championship to watch since he has been gifted wins & big point swings race weekend after race weekend... 🥴

The case for an upset in the 2026 F1 drivers title deserves actual reasoning🥴

Antonelli looks convincing, but reliability can still turn a championship.

What is the strongest argument against the favorite for the 2026 F1 drivers' title?

  • DontTrustMeSep 6

It was never going to be anything else than a Russell versus Antonelli championship. Still 9 or 10 races to go but realistically, Russell needs an Antonelli DNF/0 point ASAP to still have a shot at the title.

  • President-XIJul 7

we still have 13GP left this year, and now kimi/george/hamilton are so close in the leaderboard, I think it's mispriced, it should really be a 40%-30%-30% game.

  • JohnnyBlaze1Jul 7

Is it mispriced? Yeah I agree. By that not much? No fucking chance. Kimi has had 3 races in a row where he could've easily finished 2-1-1 Spain (DNF) - Would've been an easy 2nd place before Reliability problem Austria (3rd) - 2 times he pitted 1/2 laps before VSC, then he easily gets P1 UK (DNF) - Again he would've finished P1 had his wheel shield not left him for dead So total that is = 18+10+25 = 53pts In terms of form, he's clearly at the top. But yes these races where he's been unlucky could cost him badly because as the season goes on pressure mounts. Basically I agree it's mispriced but not that much.

  • President-XIJul 7

in fact that's not 'unlucky', that's normal in F1 race, it's constant, factor needs to be considered. Mercedes's car is very unstable recently. Anyway let's see how market reacts.

  • DI
    Dit26978Jul 11

Agree . But now I bet for LH44

  • DontTrustMeJul 5

Mercedes has still the fastest car, they have still major upgrades incoming, and Leclerc is not actually a dogshit driver. This is not the only weekend of the season where he will outscore Hamilton. This is still very much a Russell versus Antonelli championship.

Like I said before can we please for the love of god add a no/yes filter on the activity tab. This not a hard thing to code. Genuinely what is the point of seeing if someone has bought some random dude at 99.8. It makes the activity tab 20x harder to read.

  • DontTrustMeJun 28

Some people here genuinely believed that Ferrari & Lewis had a shot at the title. 😭 Their brains need to be studied. 💀

  • Unfortunate-CurrentJun 28

Bruh imo the race wasnt too bad. My hopes werent high for Austria anyways so i shed most of my position. But im definitely buying more before silverstone. I think it was high deg and overheating that got to Ferrari

  • DontTrustMeJun 28

Don't do that bruh. 💀 Every F1 commentator is talking about Silverstone being a power track that will advantage Mercedes yet again.

  • Unfortunate-CurrentJun 28

Doesnt it look like the ferrari engine upgrade closed the defecit a bit? It is true that Silverstone caters more toward the Mercedes tho 🥲

  • DontTrustMeJun 28

Marginally at most. To get things worse, Ferrari had issues with their engine today. And Mercedes still has car upgrades in their pipeline and are allowed to get an engine upgrade on top of that. Ferrari catching up Mercedes this year is most certainly a pipe dream.

  • Unfortunate-CurrentJun 30

I mean there must be a reason for the odds staying in the teens for lewis despite such a bad result

  • DontTrustMeJun 30

Yeah, the reason is that markets get mispriced all the time on Polymarket. That's why I'm +$9k up. Good luck to you tho. 🫡

  • wabimalauraJun 23

i think antonelli is a very talented but young driver

  • DontTrustMeJun 20

16% Hamilton? Ferrari fans have lot of confidence in the next Ferrari upgrade.

  • JohnnyBlaze1Jun 20

If he's so overpriced just put more money on the others buddy

  • DontTrustMeJun 20

You don't know how to read buddy? I'm already positioned No-Antonelli, Yes-Russell and No-Hamilton. I'm waiting till the start of the Austrian GP weekend to perhaps buy more No-Hamilton shares.

  • JohnnyBlaze1Jun 20

    Don't you? Keyword was "more"

  • DontTrustMeJun 20

Useless to ask someone to raise his existing position on Polymarket. I have already put my money where my mouth is and I could have zero cash left. But anyway, I don't exclude the possibility of Hamilton getting even more badly priced in the coming days/weeks. People often overreact during and right after each race weekend. Hence I'm not doing it now.

  • IM
    ImNotBettingJun 25

The biggest overreact here is Hamilton priced 5 times over Leclerc tbh

  • BT
    BTCisaHarshMistressJun 17

Can Kimi even grow facial hair?

  • DontTrustMeJun 16

Lol, so the explanation of why Russell struggled during his last stint in Barcelona is because Mercedes f*cked up the front wing adjustment on his car. But thankfully, it didn't cost him any point this time.

  • D3P0PSJun 14

Eventually LW will win it and cancel 2021 from his memory
